Student Loans
If you have bad credit, one type of loan that you are probably still eligible for is a student loan. Of course, if you have no interest at all in furthering your education this loan is probably not for you. But, if you have ever considered going back to school this may be the way to go.
You don’t have to use funds from a student loan, expressly for school. Many students are able to pay for tuition and buy books and still have money left over.
The key to obtaining excess loan funds is to attend a community college, as opposed to a major university. Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to attend an Ivy League school to get a good education. There are countless community colleges, offering a wide variety of degrees and excellent curriculum materials.
The great thing about a student loan is that they don’t have to be paid back, while you are attending classes. You normally have a six-month grace period, after graduation, when no payment is due.
Not everyone can fit a full-time education into their schedule. But, if you need extra money and have the time considering a college degree, is one way to obtain a loan when you have bad credit.
